Pull customer parts orders, unload delivery trucks, ready orders for shipment, or directly load customer trucks, as well as prepare and deliver parts order for the in-house repair and service shops. Breakdown, move and store incoming parts received for stock inventory by dealer code, stage parts orders for branch locations, put away all Cat stock,
small stock, etc.
Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities
All essential functions, duties, and other responsibilities will be performed in support of the
Company’s Mission, Vision, and Principles Statements and will include the following:
This position may involve knowledge of confidential information. Such information will be handled with the utmost discretion.
Sort parts, open boxes and crates, place parts on shelves and racks according to
part numbers and assigned locations.
Pull orders and fulfill requisitions for UPS, stock transfers, will calls, drop
boxes or service shops.
Move parts and materials within the parts warehouse, using proper equipment.
Load customer parts orders into vehicles or trucks.
Delivery parts orders by company vehicle.
Pick up parts from other vendors by company vehicle.
Answer telephones and deal with internal and external customer’s questions and
Prepare order for deliveries to other branch locations.
Unload delivery trucks and place parts and materials in appropriate warehouse area.
Keep work area clean and perform daily general housekeeping.
Maintain safe working environment.
Keep records of parts received and issued, and inventory parts in storeroom as needed (by computer or other means).
Operate forklift and hand trucks to unload and load orders, as well as transporting parts and materials to other areas within the parts warehouse.
Build hose assemblies as needed to meet customer demand.
Participate in rotation of weekend work schedules.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
All employees are required to be productive during working time, and to support the overall operation of the
business. Any employee may be assigned to any work outside his or her job classification on an as-needed basis, so long as the employee is qualified to perform the work. Upon request, employees will participate in cross-training to enable them to support other segments of the business.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job. Must have keyboard skills and be able to use the computer. Must have teamwork skills. Must meet physical requirements and pass substance abuse screening as may be required. Must agree to wear the proper assigned clothes and shoes approved for this job.
Must complete the in-house forklift-training program. Kansas drivers license preferred.
Education and Experience
Previous distribution or warehouse experience is preferred. Basic computer skills are required.
