The Research Fellow performs duties related to research projects conducted in the Developmental Pathology Laboratory at the Kilguss Research Institute, in particular those involving cord blood stem cell research. The Fellow coordinates, supervises and conducts the daily laboratory research activities. The Fellow provides expertise and training in basic and molecular biology procedures, use of equipment, and research animal husbandry. Performs specialized tests, oversees lab activities, and assists in training other staff members. Analyzes and reports data, and effectively communicates data, both in written and verbal form.

Required Education
M.D. or Ph.D. degree in a Pathology specialty with clinical or technical research experience. Three to five years related research experience with progressive responsibility preferred. Demonstrated experience with rodent manipulation and surgery, ideally combined with experience in small animal ventilation and stem cell research. Must be familiar with biomedical research techniques and computer systems for data collection and analysis. Must be fluent in the English language. Must possess excellent interpersonal, organizational and oral/written communication skills
