Business Systems Technician II - Field Services
General Description of Duties:
Seeking an experienced Field Service Technician for a permanent position in St Louis MO. The position requires an individual who can work independently, in tandem, or remotely with other technicians, is focused on customer service and is responsible for installations, repairs and MAC work of Avaya RED (CM systems) and/or Avaya Blue (CS1000) product lines.
Position Summary: Candidate will work to respond to service orders, based on priority, focusing on providing excellent customer service and demonstrating exceptional troubleshooting skills. Diagnoses complex system failures, identifies alternative solutions, and implements the appropriate corrective action. Business Systems Tech II must communicate effectively with customers, dispatchers and management team. Candidate will also develop and maintain positive customer relations by ensuring that customer requests are handled in an efficient, effective, timely and professional manner. On call responsibilities are require for this position.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications (AVAYA RED/BLUE+): Advanced installation, operation, and maintenance of switching, data communications, and peripheral equipment associated with the AVAYA (BLUE) CS1000E, CS1000M, Meridian 1 PBXs, Unified messaging/voice messaging, VoIP and VoIP deployments, CS1000 Branch Office, Avaya UCM and EM, ACIS Avaya Aura Communication Manager and Messaging. Demonstrable working experience of five  + years; also, involved in a project where a migration from TDM to VoIP in AVAYA was completed in an enterprise environment. In addition, the ability to troubleshoot, upgrade, and administer multiple vendor systems.
Certifications preferred: AVAYA Certified Support Specialist (ACSS)
Associate Degree in a technical discipline and 3-4 years technical/telephony experience with 3+ years directly related to the job; or 6+ years of directly related telephony or network operations experience and/or an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience required.
