Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is necessary. Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Missouri is necessary. Two years of experience as Staff Nurse including clinical experience with a specific patient population is necessary.
nterview and recommend selection, train, evaluate, and counsel all staff on assigned unit/shift. Determine and assign duties to patient care and support staff on unit/shift. Assist in determining and obtaining appropriate staffing coverage on a given unit/shift. Assist with staff development and orientation on a unit/shift. Participate in the education of nursing, medical, and/or EMT-Paramedic students on a specific unit or shift. Instruct and advise staff on changes in policies and procedures. Assist with monitoring determined productivity for unit/shift. Assist with monitoring department operations to ensure effective services are provided on a specific unit/shift. Confer with physicians and other department to resolve operational problems on a specific unit/shift. Assist in implementing and monitoring quality assurance programs for the unit/shift in order to ensure quality services. Represent and participate in assigned Hospital and Division committee activities. Perform the duties of a Registered Nurse in order to assist with patient care.
