We're looking for just the right Medical Laboratory Technician or Medical Technologist to be responsible for performing complex laboratory procedures and tests in areas such as chemistry and hematology, using established protocols and procedures. This person will monitor, screen and troubleshoot devices, tests and procedures, recognizing anomalies, and making corrections to ensure quality. The position includes equipment maintenance, quality control, and calibrations; maintaining appropriate records; participating in continuing education, competency assessment, and proficiency testing. You would also have opportunities to train students and new caregivers.

MLT Salary Range: $21.01- $31.52
A college degree in clinical laboratory science, chemical, physical or biological sciences or equivalent is preferred and you must meet the qualifications of the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA II).
Completion of clinical laboratory internship required.
MT or MLT certification, or eligible to sit for a MT or MLT certification exam.
Prefer one or more years of clinical laboratory experience.
*Working knowledge of specimen collection, preparation, and test requirements and factors affecting test interpretation in responding to inquiries.
*Good written and verbal communication skills.
*Working knowledge of computer systems such as Microsoft Windows, and Microsoft Office programs.
*Mathematical ability to calculate fractions, percentages, ratios, proportion measurements and apply practical algebra.
*General understanding of laboratory equipment to calibrate and do minor repairs.
*Ability to lift up to 45 lbs.
*Ability to distinguish colors.
