The Manager, Admissions is responsible for aspects of inmate/resident incarceration related to housing and welfare. Serves as chairperson of the classification team to classify inmates/residents, so that the inmate/resident is placed in the least restrictive environment possible and assigned to the appropriate job, housing and rehabilitative programs. Performs liaison functions throughout the facility by attending a variety of administrative meetings, which links the unit to the total facility operation. Supervises staff assigned to the unit and oversees unit program. Monitors and assesses the unit's progress with an emphasis on remedying any deficiencies.

Qualifications
Graduate from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in social or behavioral science or a closely related field. Five years work experience with inmates/residents, social work, inmate/resident classification, probation and parole, inmate/resident rehabilitation or penology preferred. Additional related education or work experience may be substituted on an equivalent time basis. A valid driver's license is required.
