Digital Marketing Manager

Ubisoft, a global leader in the video games and entertainment software industry, is currently seeking a full-time Digital Marketing Manager for console, PC, and online brands. This individual will report to the Manager of Digital Marketing and will be responsible for online promotions, viral marketing programs, social media strategy and development, community outreach/management, and overall research and development of digital marketing tools and programs.

Responsibilities: • Work with the Digital Marketing team to develop, lead, and execute overall digital marketing, social media, and community strategies, plans, and communications for specific console, PC, and online product launches - to include promotional campaigns targeting the core and casual gaming audience, content strategy and management, downloads and trailer support, tournaments/competitions, and work with the Brand Managers, Online and Offline Advertising Managers, PR Managers, and Community Managers to plan outbound communications. • Assist Manager with managing digital marketing plans, researching various online marketing opportunities and in reporting/communication to management and development studios with the goal of helping to optimize the quality of our products and educating on both trends and new ideas. Identify opportunities and provide recommendations to improve our websites, social media efforts, community outreach, and other online efforts. • Work closely with Web Producers to support development of marketing websites, and once website is live, position will be responsible for ensuring the timely update of website content. • Conduct research on digital marketing best practices and find ways we can be more effective in the measurement and execution of our digital marketing initiatives. Implement research studies and contribute to competitive analysis to optimize efforts: focus groups, traffic reports, etc. Provide analytical documents with research findings that support suggested decisions to the Manager, Sr. Manager and Director. • Support the execution and development of online projects focused on efficiency and validated business reason. • Manage external contractors, vendors, and agencies to carry out digital marketing initiatives and providing online services to the company. • Work with Brand Managers, PR Managers, Online Advertising Managers, Promotions Managers, Web Producers, and Community Managers to optimize strategy and coordinate initiatives. • Create and present digital marketing strategy and plans to Brand teams and upper-management. • Identify digital marketing trends and key opportunities for innovation, both online-only and online/offline hybrid campaigns. • Work with development team to improve products pre and post launch. • Competitive analysis of the digital marketing strategies of other game publishers and general digital marketing.

Qualifications: • 3-5 years of experience working in the field of digital marketing or equivalent relevant experience. • Extensive knowledge of Digital Marketing programs (such as viral campaigns, loyalty programs, online promotions/contests, etc.), Social Media (platforms, ROI, communications and engagement, and loyalty-building strategies), marketing websites, content strategy and management, communications strategy, as well as internet/online culture and memes. • A manager of people and of projects - experience with personnel management and demonstrated abilities at leading large scale projects from inception to completion. • Bachelors degree in marketing or related field, or equivalent experience, required. • Must have strong organizational skills, be detail-oriented and able to multi-task. • A creative thinker and self-starter with strong writing and communication skills. • Working knowledge of Analytics and previous experience implementing analytics into marketing campaigns. • Proven skill with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PhotoShop. Working knowledge of Visio, Project, and other Adobe suite programs are a plus. • Agency background a plus. • Knowledge of Social Gaming industry a plus. • Knowledge of video production and editing a plus. • Knowledge of online games including competition tools (ladders, lobbies, leaderboards, etc) a plus. • Passion for gaming a plus. • Online chat or forum moderation experience a plus. • Software game industry experience a plus. • User interface knowledge and experience a plus. • French language ability a plus.
