The Manager will work closely with senior IT management in building and improving upon process methodologies used for IT project management and issue identification and resolution. This position, in conjunction with senior IT management, will partner with business leaders to identify and prioritize areas of improvement and mentor staff in requirements definition, testing, training and implementation of projects. This position will also be responsible for managing outside contractors and off-shore support towards meeting Vertafore requirements in a timely and cost effective manner.
Manage a functional business analysis team and mentor their growth at Vertafore.
Act as a trusted consultant to the business by identifying ways in which technology can be leveraged to improve bottom line results and expand opportunities.
Oversee our Oracle ERP instance to ensure efficiency in application business processing, integrity of data, and timely and effective issue resolution.
Oversee day-to-day functional aspects of Vertafore business applications.
Proactively monitor the ITSM system to ensure efficiency of issue resolution and request fulfillment.
Collaborate with senior IT management and internal business groups to establish priorities and identify initiatives necessary to achieve stated goals.
In concert with senior IT management and business partners, create business case documents supporting project initiatives including potential improvements, ROIs, budget, resources, alternatives, risks/mitigations, and expected outcomes.
In partnership with the Enterprise Applications Technical team, plan, coordinate and execute user requirements, testing, training and implementations.
Proactively and continuously identify business areas where improvements can be made to streamline workflow resulting in measurable savings of time, effort and money.
Constantly monitor industry for best practices in functional business areas and present and champion those that can be leveraged at Vertafore.
Develop and maintain working relationships with a diverse group of business and technical staff in order to gain an in-depth understanding of the company’s business and support model and be a partner for growth and improvement.
Communicate technical ideas in non-technical language to the business.
Act as enterprise wide and process improvement evangelist and change agent.
Other duties as assigned by senior IT management.
5+ years of IT leadership experience on Oracle E-Business Suite preferably through multiple implementations.
Solid understanding of order to cash and procure to pay modules of Oracle EBS (preferably R12).
Ability to prioritize and convert short and long term business needs into cost effective solutions
Excellent communication skills with requirements gathering, designing and documentation capabilities.
Must have the ability to self-motivate and prioritize multiple projects and tasks across diverse areas
Strong understanding of finance, accounting and general business processes
Strong analytical skills with experience in writing and reviewing functional/technical specifications
Results-oriented, pragmatic approach to problem solving; interpersonal skills to act as advocate for consensus on complex issues
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Business/IT or Computer science
PMP certification desirable
