  • must have solid scripting experience*Configuration Manager Engineer Basic FunctionThe Configuration Management Engineer is responsible for the configuration and operation of proprietary software product to provide electronic document creation, archive and delivery services to company-developed applications deployed in a managed services model. No travel, but must be able to work flexible hours as well as some nights and weekends. Responsibilities Ensure the execution and completion of complex workflows with a zero-defect objective Evaluation and re-engineering of existing workflows to ensure optimal efficiency and processing Provide CM oversight in requirements gathering, project design and level of effort estimates Work with team to establish Standard Operating Procedures and continually seek ways to make existing processes more efficient and effective. Coordinate test environment setup or synchronization with support teams Issue resolution and workflow maintenance reports Manage and update appropriate documentation including checklists, run books, overviews, etc.
SkillsRequired Technical Skills: Demonstrated competency working with Unix and/or Linux operating system applications Demonstrated experience with complex Java application workflow setup Proven expertise with UNIX shell scripting (perl, awk, etc.) Proven expertise in SQL-language (especially Oracle) Strong personal accountability for their responsibilities; Ability to work independently, with very minimal management, and drive tasks to completion; Strong interpersonal skills in working with technical and client services professionals; Strong problem solving, organization skills and attention to detail; Ability to work under pressure and within aggressive schedules.Bonus Technical Skills: Database operations of SQL scripting experience Experience with Workflow and Document Composition and Management applications Interpreting written application requirements and applying sound operations practices to configure, operate, monitor and manage complex system workflows Organizing complex workflows into detailed, accurate documentationEducation/TrainingBachelors Degree or equivalent experienceExperience2 years experience as a Configuration Management Engineer
