Cross training and responsibilities for all of the EMR products will be expected.
Facilitate a product team consisting of Requirements & Usability, Product Management, Clinical Informatics, Production Engineering, Project Managers, Software Quality, Documentation, and Installations to develop requirements, use cases, and UI design documents for future product releases
Responsible for the detailed requirements specifications with regards to clinical workflow, usability, and relevance to clinical and administrative practice in physician offices and clinics.
Work with software engineers during the development phase to adhere to functional requirements and design making changes as necessary.
Assist in user interface design and implementation understanding principals of user workflow and system design.
Assist Product Management to define future release and new products.
Assist Software Quality to develop functional and clinical scenarios for testing
Assist documentation department with clinical input for user manuals and training
Participate in user groups, focus groups, and field testing for the products to analyze future needs and effectiveness of product designs.
Bachelor's Degree required
5+ years of implementation/development experience of clinical information systems required
Experience with workflow analysis and writing requirements required
Experience in business analysis including translating user needs into functional requirements required
Microsoft Office Suites proficiency (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) is required
Occasional travel required up to 10% required (national)
Clinical information systems experience within an emergency department environment experience preferred
Microsoft Visio proficiency is preferred
