RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage the renewal process of current client business
  • Participate in renewal strategy meetings with Clients and Underwriters
  • Request renewal quotes from present carrier
  • Update and complete coverage analysis for Account Executive (AE) review
  • Review work prepared by Account Manager(AM)
  • Send submissions to markets, review quotes and prepare proposals (with assistance from AE)
  • Arrange renewal presentation to client (with assistance from AE)
  • Oversee renewed account with AM
  • Participate in the new business marketing process as directed by AE Cross Sell
  • Attend staff meetings, educational workshops and industry meetings
  • Manage and develop mid-size accounts
  • Administer new business with assistance of Producer and AM
  • When policy is received, prepare coverage analysis
  • Analyze loss summaries, loss projections and stratifications for client
  • Prepare marketing reports for clients
  • Responsible for checking the work processed by AM and others
  • Develop technical expertise and mentor AM
  • Coordinate support services with Claims, Loss Control, Financial Services, Surety and Analytics
  • Assist AE in client budget presentations
  • Responsible for resolving account criticisms
  • Participate with Producer and AE in decision-making process on client credit balances over 90 days
  • Resolve accounting discrepancies with general knowledge of Nexsure
  • Strong working knowledge of spreadsheet applications and formula calculations
  • Respond in a timely manner to the requests and needs of the client, producer, and AE
  • Make positive contribution to customer satisfaction and constantly strives to improve service to the customer

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Degree in Business or equivalent education and/or experience
  • 5 years experience with complex commercial property and casualty and construction account management
  • Current property and casualty insurance license or the ability to obtain immediately.
  • Experience in marketing and servicing the insurance needs of construction accounts
  • Understanding of commercial rating concepts
  • Organizational and time management skills to prioritize heavy workloads to meet time sensitive deadlines
  • Demonstrate professional, tactful negotiation and persuasion skills to achieve objectives
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Strong understanding of general insurance accounting, including client invoicing
  • Demonstrate interpersonal communication skills and ability to interact with Associates at all levels of responsibility
  • Demonstrate understanding of when to proceed alone and when to involve the Team Leader, Producer or others
  • Ability to consult clients on other company services and insurance needs
  • Ability to compile, analyze and interpret financial information and data to facilitate decision-making
