Intel's Switch and Router Division is looking for creative and highly capable engineers to participate in the development of billion+ transistor, high-performance ASICs. The SRD design flow is based on a mix of domino and static logic. Our RTL Design Engineers are expected to learn and participate in all aspects of this work, including:
- Chip definition
- Architecture development and modeling
- Development of micro-architectural specifications
- Conversion of micro-architectural specifications to circuit implementation
- Floorplanning and physical synthesis of custom blocks and structured datapaths
- Formal verification, debug, and timing closure
- Interfacing with physical execution and backend teams
Qualifications
You must possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Electronics
- 3 or more years of experience in Software/Firmware Design and implementation, and
- 3 or more years of experience in Intel architecture and/or micro-architecture with knowledge of processor, chipset, memory, I/O-subsystems, and bus protocols
- 3 or more years of experience in C development in an embedded environment
- 3 or more years of experience in low level kernel and OS subsystems
- 3 or more years of experience in multithreaded environment such as Linux* and ThreadX* or other RTOS
- 3 or more years of hands on experience in source-level debugging, I2C, oscilloscope and/or bus analyzers
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Agile and Scrum methods is highly preferred
- Well versed in software engineering practices
- Ability to study and analyze hardware schematic as part of trouble shooting and creating rework instructions
- Experience with IPMI specification is a plus
- C++, C#, TCL, Scripting and Vector Cast experience is a plus
- Quick learner and be able to handle complex problems related to firmware and its interaction with the hardware
