Ingersoll Rand’s Climate Solutions sector delivers energy-efficient HVACR solutions for customers globally. It's world class brands include Thermo King, the leader in transport temperature control and Trane, provider of energy efficient heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems, building and contracting services, parts support and advanced controls for homes and commercial buildings.
This is an immediate opening. Internship is located in La Crosse, WI. Applicants must currently reside in the La Crosse area in order to be considered, as year-round availability while attending school full-time is required. This is targeted to be a minimum 1-year assignment with the possibility to continue until graduation. Pay rate is $10/hour. Hours are flexible to accommodate student schedules within business hours of 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. Student must be able to work at least 20 hours/week during the school year and up to 40 hours/week during summer and holidays.
Administer and support claims processing for all types of claims, including warranty, labor, startup, concessions, returns, variation, and billing adjustments.
Review and process submitted domestic and international claims per policies and procedures.
Assist offices, territory leaders, and plants with claim entry, approval, process, and policies.
Provide training as necessary on the claims management system and processes.
Work with internal and external customers to resolve issues that arise with claims.
Handle a high volume of written & verbal communications with field offices and manufacturing locations
Maintain data that supports the claims management system.
Run reports for audit and special processing.
Perform other general office functions.
Full-time student status in a 2-year or 4-year program with major in business, finance, or communications required.
Must be able to recognize, prioritize, and perform required activities with minimal supervision.
Must be detail-conscious, organized, responsible, and dependable.
Ability to handle a variety of tasks with an appropriate sense of urgency required.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required, with the ability to function independently as well as in a team environment with both internal and external customers.
Proficiency in Word and Excel required.
Must be able to consider all inputs in making sound decisions to choose a course of action.
Must be willing and able to assume additional duties, responsibilities, and assignments as needed.
