Bring your Enterprise Master Data Management systems knowledge, technology experience and business process savvy to this organization in support of Starbucks Global Operations.

This job contributes to Starbucks success by directing the planning and coordination of enterprise master data initiatives across Supply Chain, Finance, Store Development, Retail and Channel Business Development. Develops strategy and roadmap for new applications or revisions to existing systems for specific business units or departments. Manages user support and troubleshooting, input on business requirements, system and process enhancement support and documentation, system maintenance, and partner training in a functional or central business area. Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.

Summary of Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

Coordination/Leadership

  • Identifies and communicates key responsibilities and practices to ensure the immediate team of direct reports promotes a successful attitude, confidence in leadership, and teamwork to achieve business results.
  • Sets goals, develops organizational capability, relates system solutions to broader organization strategies and objectives, and models how we work together.
  • Develops teams and partnerships aligned with Starbucks mission and guiding principles.
  • Ensures partners adhere to legal and operational compliance requirements.
  • Oversees training and development of directly and indirectly managed partners.
  • Makes effective staffing decisions, taking into account resource demand, team skill sets and budget constraints.
  • Provides coaching, direction and leadership support to team members in order to achieve partner, business and customer results.
  • Selects, trains, manages, and reviews performance of department team. Sets and maintains the professional standards required to meet business unit and company objectives.
  • Develops multi-year and annual goals, objectives and budgets for implementation, sustainment and support within the designated business areas.
  • May manage budget for assigned areas.
  • Provides coaching, direction and leadership support to team members in order to achieve partner, business and customer results.
  • Selects, trains, manages, and reviews performance of department team. Sets and maintains the professional standards required to meet business unit and company objectives.
  • Develops multi-year and annual goals, objectives and budgets for implementation, sustainment and support within the designated business areas.
  • May manage budget for assigned areas.
Production Support

Manages ongoing operation of systems and processes for specific business areas or departments. Oversees resolution of day-to-day operations issues to ensure user, business and production requirements are met. Ensure communications and documentation of status, root cause and resolutions are provided

Oversees testing of new system functionality and quality assurance for all systems fixes, enhancements, changes and implementations.

Ensures support documentation is created, updated and used as intended to assist with production trouble-shooting and resolution.

Prepares, communicates and educates client groups and team on changes in policies and practices within the organization.

Qualifications

Summary of Experience

  • Diverse business experience 10 years

Enterprise Master Data systems, preferably in a complex and diverse systems environment

  • 10 years
  • Progressive experience in systems design, testing and implementation within a large, global organization
  • Working in functional business area 10 years
  • Analytical and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment 6 years
  • Team and project management experience, including the ability to build and lead cross-functional teams 5 years
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of Master Data Processes and Systems.
  • Extensive ERP application experience in Product Information Management, Supplier Master, Chart of Accounts (COA) Master, Customer Master (Oracle or SAP)
  • Understanding of retail/quick service food industry supply chain, product planning & product life cycle management
  • Advanced understanding of Product Life Cycle, Supplier, Customer life cycle planning & execution
  • Extensive knowledge of Master Data integrations to Retail & CPG ERP systems
  • Strong knowledge and Understanding of UPC, GTIN’s
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and growing environment
  • Very Strong Negotiation and conflict management skills
  • Working knowledge of all facets of systems development and operations
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills, including the ability to interact with senior leadership and provide input to the decision-making process
  • Effective management and supervisory skills, including planning, organizing, developing, and monitoring partner performance
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Applications such as Word, Excel, Visio, Project
  • Ability to understand, analyze and develop operational processes and procedures
  • Advanced knowledge of system tools and features
  • Ability to use business knowledge, sound judgment, and resourcefulness to adapt existing policies to specific situations and select among varied courses of action
  • Ability to manage teams comprised of technical and non-technical professionals at a variety of levels.
