It is the mission of HealthFirst Bluegrass to provide quality care to all who need them. They are a 501(c)3 organization within the local Health Department and are a Federally Qualified Health Center funded in part through the Health Resources and Services Adminisration. The main clinic is located at 650 Newtown Pike, Lexington, KY 40508. It is governed by the HealthFirst Bluegrass Board of Dir 37.5 hours per week with full benefits.

Provides administrative support to department's clinical/community program operations. Examples of work include: schedules patient appointments; greets patients/clients; conducts patient/client interviews, determines patients clients' financial status; routes patients/clients; completes registration forms; prepares and maintains patient/client health record; collects service fees and processes patient bills; conducts community outreach activitie Accepting resumes for this job classification.

Examples of work include: schedules patient appointments; greets patients/clients; conducts patient/client interviews, determines patients clients' financial status; routes patients/clients; completes registration forms; prepares and maintains patient/client health record; collects service fees and processes patient bills; conducts community outreach activities, and makes referrals according to program procedures.

Acts as patient/client receptionist. Greets patients, initates and distributes appropriate forms and answers telephone and channel calls to the appropriate staff or takes accurate messages. Accurately maintains patient appointment system. Verifies patient/client appointments, schedules initial and return appointments. Initiates/conducts appointment reminders and documents missed appointments. Initiates and maintains patient/client health record according to department/division standards. Registers clients/patients for clinic services/programs by obtaining and verifying required demographic, insurance and financial information including income information to determine eligibility for services/pay status based on established standards. Accurately enters patient encounter data. Collects and processes clinical service fees. Maintains patient tracking/referral notficiation system(s). May conduct community outreach activities.

High school graduate/GED and 1 year experience in a general clerical or clinical setting which has been in the performance of responsible clerical/clinical duties including accurate data entry, or an equivalent combination of related training and experience.
