Responsible for playing key leadership role in developing and implementing strategic business plans with customer to deliver Profitable Volume Growth focusing on distribution, shelving, merchandising, pricing and supply objectives.

1. Develop and deliver strategic customer business plan to meet or exceed Profitable Volume Growth objectives 
Understand General Mills supply and demand strategies to incorporate into business plan 
Identify Customer Strategies to incorporate General Mills strategies and develop business plans 
Conduct periodic performance analysis to adjust strategies and execution as necessary 
Maintain up to date and accurate planning and spending information in Trade Planner 
Adhere to all GMI policies and procedures (i.e.: trade funding, unsaleables policy, etc.)

2. Develop and maintain excellent customer relationships 
Penetrate and develop relationships across all functions of the customer 
Develop and maintain customer rapport by understanding customer expectations and General Mills capabilities to meet those needs 
Work with customer service to address existing problems and to develop service plans and capabilities

3. Deliver distribution, shelving, merchandising, and pricing objectives 
Maintain distribution in line with marketplace taking into consideration the account’s philosophy and demographics 
Gain new product acceptance, visibility and merchandising levels in line with assigned priorities 
Institute shelving efforts that are in accordance with category management principles that benefit General Mills and the account. Overall GMI share of shelf commensurate (at minimum) with share of market 
Create merchandising offers which meet strategies of account and result in the most optimum use of resources within GMI operating guidelines 
Incorporate supply side strategies with customer when prudent (EDI, CRP, etc.)

4. Develop a collaborative high-performing team 
Communicate and direct account priorities to retail selling organization 
Facilitate development of demand and supply plans through collaboration with cross-functional experts

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* Must submit a resume for consideration
* Must be located in market or willing to relocate
* BS/BA or equivalent experience required (must be able to furnish valid education documentation, if requested).
* 3-5 years selling experience in consumer packaged goods or related industry
