Clinical Instructor – Radiography Department: School of Radiology Schedule: Part time (20 hours) Shift: Day shift Hours: Variable Job Details: The Program Clinical Instructor main responsibility is to work one-on-one with the student providing instruction based on the student’s need determined by observation and evaluation. In addition to working with the radiography students, the Program clinical instructor is also utilized to provide didactic and laboratory instruction. The Program clinical instructor is also the liaison between the program and staff providing changes to program and accreditation policies. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - teaching, supervising and evaluating radiography students at all clinical sites.
- assist students in developing patient care skills. - exercises professional judgment in performance of student evaluations, image critiques, clinical and classroom instruction. - acts as a liaison between the program and the clinical staff. - demonstrates teamwork, interpersonal skills, and guest relations.
- demonstrate knowledge of operation of radiographic equipment and RIS systems. - knowledge of program and hospital policies. Minimum Requirements: - graduate of a JRCERT accredited radiography program - ARRT certification and Connecticut licensure - experience as an approved JRCERT clinical instructor, preferred - 2 years experience as a radiographer demonstrating professionalism - Ability to develop and present a lecture - Demonstrate the ability to effectively teach students in a clinical setting
