At BizLibrary, the Accounting Specialist is responsible for the following:

Performs routine accounting activities such as accounts payable or receivable functions. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and initiative is required.

Responsibilities will include general project and administrative support activities that extend to all areas of the company, with an emphasis on Accounting and Operations Departments.

-Invoicing

-Payment receipts and banking deposits

-Collections calls

-Monthly/Quarterly billing and partner reports

-Print and process checks for invoice payments

-Activation and deactivation of LMS client users as pertains to billing

-Administrative support for president and vice president of operations

-Key metrics tracking and reporting

-Order and maintain supplies

-Other general duties requested and generally associated with an administrative support position

-Support the department manager and also serve in a back-up capacity to other team members on the Operations Team.

-Requires an Associates or Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or a related field and 3-5 years of related experience in bookkeeping, accounting, operations and/or customer service

-Knowledge of QuickBooks accounting software or related

-Possess intermediate to advanced experience with MS Office Applications, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word

-Possess ability to multi-task a wide variety of project directives; work effectively and efficiently with other departments and employees at all levels

-Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills

-Must be able to work independently and without supervision

-Dependability and timeliness are non-negotiable

-Open to a flexible work schedule as business needs change

-Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities

-Deadline and goal-driven

-Accomplished at managing time and ability to multi-task

Preferred Qualifications:

-Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting or related

-General working knowledge of the Windows Operating System, Internet Explorer and Contact Management System (like Goldmine)
