Support GECA’s Organizational Communications team (including Corporate Citizenship) in their efforts to facilitate employee engagement through creation & development of various campaigns/vehicles.
This is a part time postition, with a 24 hr. a week requirement and for the duration of 1yr- 18 months.
Serving as editor of weekly Norwalk Update (communication for ~1K employees). Includes the management of multiple submissions and editing/copy origination and design concept within tight timeframe.
Creating and managing digital signage for Norwalk site
Writing copy for and making updates to various internal portals as well as the iGE intranet site
Assisting on HealthAhead initiative, including preparing bi-monthly email, digital signage and other communications
Serving as integral member of Corporate Citizenship signature program planning teams. Duties include idea creation/generation for launch and general writing of communications materials for company-wide distribution
Providing support to Organizational Communications COE, as needed
BA Degree or pursuing a minimum of a four-year degree with communications-related course work: Communications, English / Journalism, Media Studies, Digital Media, Public Relations, Advertising or Marketing
Passion for Communications
Strong functional communication skills
Computer skills: PowerPoint, MS Word, Excel and knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite a plus
GPA greater than or equal to 3.0/4.0

Possesses execution skills, consistently meeting deadlines with strong sense of accountability
Possesses presentation skills
Proficiency in Microsoft applications including PowerPoint, Outlook, Word and Excel
Experience with visual communications and associated tools of trade (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver/HTML, etc.) is highly desired
Working knowledge of HTML email & website content management systems (ECS, Word Press, Constant Contact, Peer360, etc) a plus
