In 2012, UTC Aerospace Systems was formed by combining two industry leaders, Hamilton Sundstrand and Goodrich, creating an organization with key positions on a wide range of aircraft flying today and substantial content on various UAVs, satellites and ground and naval vehicles.

Coordinates and directs the financial affairs of the site/SBU and prepare financial analysis of operations, including interim and financial statements with supporting schedules, for the guidance of management.

- Analyze and interpret statistical and accounting information in order to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget and other matters bearing on the fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness of the business unit.
- Participate in establishing major economic objectives and policies for the company and prepare reports that outline the company's financial position in the areas of income, expenses and earnings based on past, present and future operations.
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, institutes and maintains other planning and control procedures, including the cost accounting system, and analysis and reports variances.
- Provide timely and accurate reporting of all product line financial data to include monthly sales, operating income, cash performance, awards, funding, B&P, IR&D and capital expenditure data. Provide timely and accurate reporting of individual contract financial data to include monthly sales, cost and fee performance as well as monthly, earned value measurement performance (CPI/SPI).
- Participate in establishing major economic objectives and policies for the company and prepare reports that outline the company's financial position in the areas of income, expenses and earnings based on past, present and future operations.
- Provide the organization and its management with the necessary appropriate financial and operating information.
- Perform these and any other activities which may be assigned or which may occur in the normal course of work.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required
5 or more years related experience in accounting/finance roles dealing with government contracting and/or aerospace
Strong GAAP/IAS knowledge (reporting requirements - US and local versions), IFRS knowledge a plus
Keen international business acumen and working knowledge of foreign exchange principles
Broad experience in a variety of financial functions including but not limited to US Government Contracting Compliance, Government Reporting, General Ledger, Program Analysis, and Cost Accounting
Manufacturing and/or service experience required
Strong understanding of an ERP/business system with implementation experience a plus
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required
10 - 20% travel required
U.S. Citizenship or Green Card required

Education Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required

Yrs. of Experience 5 or more years related experience in accounting/finance roles

Industry Experience government contracting and/or aerospace
