Main Purpose of Job
This position will serve as technical advisor to the Adjutant General of Maryland and the Maryland Army National Guard in matters pertaining to National Environmental Policy Act documentation, noise abatement and management, lead paint management and the Clean Air Act. Works as the environmental assessment principal who provides on-site assessment capability for the Department. Functions include: monitoring Maryland Army National Guard Environmental Programs and ensuring that pollution sources are identified.
MINIMUM EDUCATION OR GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
Education: Possession of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
Experience: Three years of professional experience in analysis, research and evaluation of natural and human ecological or environmental resources.
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS
A valid class D Maryland driver’s license may be required before completion of probation.
Some positions in this classification are assigned duties which will require the individual to be examined by a physician. After an offer of employment, applicants for such positions will be given a medical examination to certify the ability to perform the essential job functions.
