Career Opportunity Payroll Process Supervisor Location: Pittsburgh, PA Job Number: 1006944 Job Description: Position performs and supervises all functions necessary to process pay activities, including maintaining employee records, employee tax set-ups, voluntary, deduction reports, processing involuntary deductions such as levies and garnishments servicing 34,000 employees in over 62 domestic based companies (and Puerto Rico). Responsible for processing executive compensation, including deferred compensation, stock options, restricted stock options. S/He also is responsible for compliance with federal/state/local regulations and documenting and updating procedures to ensure financial, operating and reputational risks are minimized. The incumbent supervises or leads a team of 2 or more Payroll processors.
Responsible for proactively identifying process improvement needs, and initiating efforts to improve efficiencies, controls, and internal/external communications. Assist with issues requiring escalation. Facilitate training of new employees and ensuring proper cross training of processes. S/he will complete Performance Management reviews for each employee including establishing goals and midyear reviews.
