Position Summary:
The UNM-Taos Branch is looking for a part time Library Information Specialist I to assist in providing quality service to the students, faculty, and the community-at-large. This position encompasses a variety of areas including reference, circulation, online environments which includes website, databases, troubleshooting, and integrated library systems, as well as graphic design work for the promotion of the library. The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to be a team player, the ability to prioritize, and the ability to analyze and solve problems. Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED; at least 1 year of experience that is related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with automated library systems, preferably Innovative Interfaces, Inc. (III) Experience developing fliers, brochures, newsletters and other graphic design projects for promotion and general library information Ability to troubleshoot operational problems for relevant library systems, and assist with computer application questions. Ability to provide guidance and assistance to patrons regarding library services and resources Computer proficiency including ability to move from a PC to a Mac environment. Experience in a University environment. Ability to monitor daily operations in an academic unit or department.
