Conduct research to develop a programmable skin patch drug delivery system through power efficient carbon nanotube membranes. Initiate and independently run projects within the general area programmed transdermal drug delivery. This includes developing and executing animal study protocols, demonstrating programmed transdermal drug delivery, or building and programming engineering prototypes while working with others performing animal studies. Ensure lab resources and equipment are appropriate used and maintained; that lab safety protocol are followed and updated; and that appropriate supplies are ordered. Develop and document experimental procedures; manage staff and student time; evaluate data; and trouble shoot technical problems.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

Planning and organization skills; attention to detail; written and verbal communication skills; acquisition of new laboratory knowledge and techniques; ability to trouble shoot problems.

Preferred Education / Experience

Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences or Engineering
