Responsible for the creation and maintenance of Illustrated Parts Lists (IPLs), and directly associated work, in a highly automated and system assisted environment.
Update and republish existing Illustrated Parts List(s) (IPLs) via approved software and systems as assigned
Author and create new IPLs via approved software and systems as assigned
Maintain databases, both manual and automated, as per established process
Author and create customer IPLs via approved software and systems as assigned
Create new parts and Bills of Material as needed in support of IPLs; this activity is to be coordinated with technical service, service engineering and inventory management
Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required
Job Skills Requirements:
Working knowledge in the use of computer based and assisted publication/technical drawing software
Basic knowledge of automated office systems (such as Microsoft)
Good verbal and written communication skills within team environment
Able to handle multiple task assignments and changes in priorities
Prior experience creating IPLs in an automated creation environment is preferred
Prior experience with repair of outdoor power equipment helpful
Understanding of bill of materials, engineering change order systems and engineering drawings helpful
Technical drawing skills helpful
Basic understanding of how products are serviced
Associate/technical degree in a related field is desired
Prior work experience preferred
Experience in publishing operator’s manuals, service manuals, IPL's or service bulletins preferred
