Responsible for developing and implementing workout strategies for troubled and defaulted seller/ servicer and multi-family counterparties. Manage counterparty defaults and negotiate with parties as needed to implement the workout strategy. Provide advice on appropriate credit risk mitigation strategies. Coordinate with internal and external legal counsel on all aspects of the credit workout process. Proactively identify and manage customers who are at risk of default and take action to mitigate loss. Document all relevant workout terms to ensure agreements can be fulfilled and monitored. Application of professional principles, theories, and concepts. Develops resolutions to problems of limited scope following specific, detailed procedures. College Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
The Special Asset Workout and Mortgage Insurance Risk Associate will perform credit reviews of counterparties, assess the financial viability of proposed transactions, and proactively identify and create enhanced methods for analyzing counterparties- financial condition.
