Cargill Risk Management seeks to hire a sales person who will be responsible for developing risk management solutions targeting North America food customers. Key objectives of this position will be to build customer relationships, bring meaningful solutions to customers and to achieve projected sales and revenue targets. You will strive to help customers reduce commodity price risk and meet their business objectives by utilizing Cargill Risk Management’s full range of risk management products. This is a dynamic environment affording the right individual the opportunity to develop new relationships and to build on existing relationships, including internal partnerships with Cargill Business Units.
Ability to travel up to 35%
This position falls under the definition of “Covered Associate” as it is defined in the applicable “Pay to Play” rules.
Identify and develop new relationships with customers across North America. Interface directly with customers, offering customized risk management products helping manage commodity price risk. Present Cargill Risk Management’s value proposition across multiple levels within customer’s organization. Grow CRM’s direct and embedded sales activities. Execute deals, coordinate with trading, credit, compliance and other functions. Industry segments include but are not limited to food, beverage, apparel, other.
Minimum of 3 years of proven sales experience including building customer relationships, managing credit issues and overall compliance with corporate standards, policies and procedures.
Minimum of 3 years of working knowledge of commodity markets and ability to understand the financial implications of market movements.
Strong presentation skills.
Strong math, problem solving and attention to detail.
Team player and customer oriented.
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or Related field.
Familiarity with futures/options/commodity markets.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
Display leadership and high level of professionalism with external & internal customers.
