Job Summary : Provide customer service to all patient inquiries. PAR is responsible for the follow up of insurance balances for patients seen in our physician practices. Ensures all primary and secondary claims are properly reviewed within time periods established by management.

Education/Experience : Required: high school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of three years experience in a multi-physician practice. Knowledge of third party payer billing, follow up and reimbursement regulations, personal computers, HCFA 1500 billing form, ICD-9 and CPT codes. Desired: Knowledge of AllScripts products and other billing and EHR systems.

Special Skills or Knowledge/Certifications or Licenses : Valid driver’s license; extensive knowledge of registration requirements and COBRA laws, third party payor requirements, coordination of benefits, medical terminology and insurance billing and benefits is required; demonstrate knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid billing mandates and thorough knowledge of HCFA 1500 requirements; must possess the ability to analyze and interpret data; effective oral and written communication skills; ability to analyze and interpret data.
