Responsibilities include:
Maintain small data center space
Implement rework and redesign of data center (with guidance and some assistance) including asset management of 15 racks worth of equipment
power networking and cabling
Configure and support standalone and virtual servers
VSphere and Linux support
Create and maintain software test-bed systems for engineering development
testing and maintain network configurations
install and configure network switches, firewalls and routersresearch and procure solutions based on engineering needs
Implement and maintain backup
Implement and maintain health monitoring systems
Other systems administration tasks necessary to maintain system use (documentation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution)assembly of racks, rack-mounted servers
Connect all hardware for electrical power, networking, and KVM access

It is also important to be comfortable dealing with very technical end-users.

Some network technology support experience, such as understanding concepts such as VLANing and routing
