Functions as a key manufacturing analyst and advisor within the Department of Finance and the Company. Specifically, this position is responsible for cost and inventory accounting in a multi plant environment, including development and maintenance of standard costs, month end inventory accounting and analysis as well as various daily and weekly reporting and analysis of inventory, production and standard costs.
1.Develop, implement and maintain daily controls of the standard cost system to assure accuracy of inventory valuation and gross margin reporting
2.Develop, implement and maintain daily controls of the inventory system to assure inventory accuracy and appropriate variance reporting, including closed work order variance, absorption variance, and purchase price variance reporting
3.Prepare and analyze inventory obsolescence reserve requirements
4.Assist in controlling production and logistics spending via analysis
5.Work closely with Operations and other Departments to analyzes processes and improve efficiency
6.Prepares monthly cost of goods sold and inventory journal entries as required
7.Lead standard cost development effort for annual budget process
8.Support Financial Analysis Supervisor on pricing proposals
9.Implement, evaluate and improve the cycle count program
10.Support annual physical inventory
11.Prepare and present financial reports as requested and assigned
1.Performs any other duties as assigned.
2.Participates in Divisional and Departmental activities including routine meetings.

WORK DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENT
Physical Demands and Abilities: Prolonged sitting; Demands manual dexterity with hands and fingers, visual acuity. Daily use of hands, fingers ability to see clearly at 20 inches or less, talking, and hearing. Occasional (monthly) lifting up to 10 lbs. CONTROLS Compliance with GAAP and with IRS rules and regulations.
1.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics from an accredited college or university
2.Minimum of 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
3.Experience with ERP systems, hands-on SAP experience preferred but not required
4.Demonstrated strong excel experience
5.Strong analytical, written and verbal skills
6.Advanced excel skills
7.Ability to prioritize and plan work activities to efficiently meet deadlines
8.Flexibility to a changing environment, willingness to roll-up their sleeves
9.Valid State Driver’s License
