Rockwell Automation is looking for a Reliability MBB to drive use of Design for Reliability (DFR) and Field Reliability disciplines across Control Products and Solutions (CP&S) business of Rockwell Automation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Drives DFR integration and implementation into new technology development across all functions and product lines at CP&S.
Provides expert coaching and mentoring to technology teams in executing DFR tools in the areas of initiation, feasibility, execution, release and closeout phases of Rockwell’s product development process (CPD).
Ensures rigor in project execution, quality and on time deliverables of DFR requirements in Formal Design Reviews, provides successful phase sign-off.
Establishes DFR deployment plan to meet CP&S business needs.
Manage Reliability Implementation program (RIP) which includes RIP training, leading RIP certification board, coaching/mentoring RIP candidates and reporting RIP status to senior management on a regular basis.
Develops DFR best practices guidelines and process documents, delivers best practice sharing sessions.
Leads DFR discipline for high impact projects.
Communicate DFR/RIP progress, status and issues to Champions and business leaders.
Leads ongoing field reliability status, forecasting future failures and develop field solutions to reduce failures.
Leads DFR Capabilities across CP&S business by training, coaching and mentoring.
BS in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical Engineering, Industrial or equivalent required.
Certified Black Belt required (preferably DFSS) , DFSS Master Black Belt desired from a six sigma company.
Previously led product development efforts using DFR techniques with minimum 5 years of DFR experience in technology development.
Very good theoretical and practical knowledge of DFR principles: Reliability target setting, allocation, DFMEA, prediction, reliability testing, DFR scorecards, FRACAS, failure forecasting and warranty estimates.
Domain experience with electronics and electro-mechanical systems.
CRE or Masters degree in Reliability is highly desired. Demonstrated ability to create and manage work plans and timelines independently.
Demonstrates cross-functional project leadership.
Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills.
Outstanding communication and leadership skills. Must effectively sell ideas and reasons for implementing new DFR initiatives.
Advanced user of Relisoft Suite, Minitab, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint. Effectively leverages these and other tools to accomplish results
Advanced degrees in Engineering is desired.
