Position Overview " Responsibilities: Evangelical Homes of Michigan is eager to partner with a new Director of Campus Health Services to join in the continued mission and growth of our Brecon Village campus, which houses our Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Support services, located in Saline, MI. The primary purpose of this position is to plan, organize, develop and direct the overall operation of the resident support services for the Brecon Village campus. Essential Job Functions include, but are not limited to: Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate and direct the resident healthcare support services, as well as its programs and related activities. Develop methods for coordination of resident services with other EHM service-lines, such as homecare.
Meet with the care and service delivery staff daily to determine the needs and emergencies at each campus program. Assist the Executive Director and Program Director in the recruitment and selection of resident services personnel. Organize, develop and conduct service plan reviews as required, with appropriate resident care team members and resident families. Develop, implement, manage and coordinate community education materials and presentations regarding our campus and its services, as well as, wellness and health education programs for older adults.
Provide community education programs at least quarterly. Develop and participate in the planning, conducting, and scheduling of orientation and in-service training classes. Prepare and plan the resident services ’ budget and submit to the Executive Director for his/her review, recommendations, and/or approval. Qualifications and Requirements include: Must hold an active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan.
Must possess, as a minimum, a Registered Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university. Must possess a minimum of 2 years experience as a supervisor in a hospital, long-term care facility, or other related health care facility. Must have, as a minimum, 2 years experience in working with older adults. Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills, including active listening.
Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care. Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel. The Director of Campus Health Services is a full time, salaried position.
