REQUIRED
Strong, proven and demonstrated skills in .NET development, VB.NET, C#, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, VB, XML, XSLT, DHTML, VB Script, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX, SQL, MS Access, FTP, LINQ to SQL / Entity Framework, and other .NET data mechanisms. Demonstrated experience in ODBC, JDBC, XSLT, Web Services, SOA, CSS. Demonstrated proficiency with Visual Studio 2008 and 2010 including significant exposure to .NET 3.5 or above. Experience with Source Control programs such as MKS, Visual Source Safe, or Microsoft Team Foundation Server. Experience in requirements evaluation (translating functional specifications into technical solutions), requirements gathering, and requirements definition. Strong analytical, organizational and hands-on problem solving skills, Web technologies, awareness of current Web trends and technologies Ability to interface with clients and assist them in defining business requirements and risks. Excellent written and oral communication skills required. Ability to work with the customer on a daily basis and to respond to requests with minimal direction.
DESCRIPTION
Lockheed Martin delivers services and technical leadership for mission-critical federal government, public sector, and private sector. This position is in the IS&GS-Civil organization supporting our customer, the Social Security Administration.
The position is located in Chicago, Ill on Canal Street. We are responsible for providing a full range of IT integration services and supporting a multi-platform computing environment, including: information systems modernization initiatives, software engineering, project management, infrastructure services, data warehousing, database administration, research, planning, security, federal enterprise architecture initiatives, research and all levels of Internet, Intranet and Web portal initiatives and migrating legacy architecture to web-based platforms. All employees must be able to pass a Federal Suitability Check for a position of public trust.
The incumbent will assist SSA with modernizing its .NET Desktop Windows application and will be responsible for design recommendations, requirements gathering and analysis, development and implementation, which includes business process analysis, usability, and Section 508 compliance. He/she works without technical oversight and is regarded as an expert.

Knowledge and utilization of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and QA/process methodologies such as CMM/CMMI.
