Position Summary
Reporting to the Marketing Director, the Marketing Copywriter/ Specialist is responsible for a variety of important marketing communication programs for HealthLeaders Media, a division of HCPro. This is an opportunity for a high-energy Marketing Copywriter and creative individual to make a significant contribution to a multi-platform media company dedicated to meeting the business information needs of healthcare executives. The individual will work with the Marketing Director, Editorial Director, and content teams to develop content and product positioning to successfully drive sales and company brand awareness.

Essential Functions:
Marketing sits between content development and commercialization efforts, ensuring that balance exists between both as we develop and execute growth plans. The position’s focus is as follows: 
Convert strategy and marketing goals into compelling copy and promotional material by developing concise and engaging content for a variety of marketing campaigns 
Manage, organize, and execute marketing programs including: Email marketing, interactive/web marketing, social media, PR and direct mail 
Work in partnership with Marketing Director and editorial/content team to develop content and ensure smooth product development/rollout and audience growth 
Drive sales, promote content and grow audience via social media channels. 
Analyze ROI on marketing tactics and refine promotional plans on a continuous basis 
Work with sales team to improve presentations, collateral and proposals 
Improve efficiency and effectiveness of traditional direct marketing efforts such as online marketing, email marketing and list management (including online/offline conversion rates, prospect lists, opt out rates, etc.)
Desired Skills and Experience:
• Excellent marketing copywriting skills and the ability to create concise, compelling marketing copy from complex information
• Proficient in social media strategies and channels
• Computer skills including: email marketing tools and Microsoft Office –HTML skills a plus.
• Self-managed, proactive, and highly organized
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, results-driven team environment, projecting a positive, proactive, can-do attitude 

Position Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing communications, journalism, or business
Minimum 3 years experience in marketing copywriting/communications and strategy
(e-marketing, preferably in healthcare publishing experience a plus).
Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, HTML, and Social Media. Experience with email branding & marketing tools such as Silverpop, a plus.
