Under supervision research and conduct financial and business related analyses to assess the impact of various departmental projects and transactions. Respond to inquiries and requests for analysis with latitude and judgment using acceptable accounting practices and division procedures.
Act as a liaison between IT Project Management Organization and Finance Organization by partnering with Project Managers, acting as a resource, providing financial guidance, and making recommendations to improve outcome
Prepare and present special projects providing technical and financial support to carry out management objectives.
Complete monthly reporting to provide financial insight to IT operations.
Perform detailed financial calculations (i.e. lease versus buy decisions, cash flow scenarios, NPV's, ROI's etc.) with many projects.
Work with and develop financial models based on specific special projects assigned.
Support the IT and SCC staff in various ad hoc projects as requested.
Primary responsibility for data accuracy in IT transactional subsystems.
: Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance required. MBA degree preferred. Technology industry background preferred but not required.
: Minimum 2 years financial analysis experience required.
: Strong problem solving and critical thinking capabilities required, ability to learn new systems and information and continually improve knowledge base required, knowledge of financial analysis techniques and accounting principles required; experience with PeopleSoft General Ledger is preferred; ability to develop new reports or queries as necessary (PeopleSoft, Hyperion, Data Warehouse) is preferred; must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
