Analyzing utilization of workers and equipment and develop work simplification programs in areas such as work distribution, work count, process flow, economy of worker motions and assembly area layout.
Analyzing past work performance to determine areas of needed improvements.
Providing justification for new processes, equipment, plant & office layout. Implement continuous process improvements.
Continually monitor assembly functions to ensure worker safety and environmental compliance.
Work with design engineering department on new product introduction to reduce labor requirements.
Continually review manufacturing methods, tooling & layout to find improvement opportunities.
Scheduling workforce, Timecard reporting
Act as a backup Production Supervisor
Utilize Lean manufacturing principles when implementing improvements.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Three years manufacturing plant experience.
Working knowledge and understanding of manufacturing process.
Working knowledge and understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
Auto Cad 2006, Baan, production reports.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Occasional lifting, bending & climbing when working on special shop floor improvement projects.
