The Production Supervisor assists the Site Supervisor meeting daily production schedules. Attends daily production meetings to obtain workload. Distributes work to teams. Assists in supervising personnel during performance of organizational, intermediate, and depot level maintenance, and also supervises personnel on modification and repair of aircraft, vehicles, weapon systems, and other field team services in accordance with L-3 Vertex Aerospace Contract Field Services Standard Operating Procedures Manual. Responsible for production planning, schedules material control, quality control, and safety. Conducts continued evaluation of all job practices and resolves technical, production, and supply problems. Supervises and assists in the preparation of all required records and reports and correspondence, including time keeping and man-hour expenditure records by task accomplishment. May supervise overall second or third shift operations and act as the designated point of contact for the government.
7 yrs experience in aircraft maintenance and 3 yrs managing/supervising personnel.
Must possess an in-depth knowledge and experience in aircraft maintenance and Production Control.
Should have excellent verbal and written communication skills and well versed in communicating with the customer on all levels.
Able to supervise a large team of mixed trades.
Required to have knowledge of ANSI/ISO/ASQ Q9001-2000 quality management
