BIOLOGICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES: EVOLUTIONARY BIOLOGIST Assistant Professor, full time, tenure-track, beginning August 1, 2011.

Teaching responsibilities include evolution, genetics, introductory biology, and development of advanced courses in field of expertise. Research and teaching experience in the areas of microbial evolution and genomics or population genetics preferred.
Candidates for this position need to be willing to teach at all levels of the curriculum, from the introductory undergraduate to graduate (Masters) level. Ph.D. required and postdoctoral research experience desired. Commitment to teaching excellence, responsiveness to student needs, and effective communication skills are essential. Scholarly activities and a research program that involves undergraduate and graduate students are expected. Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated excellence in college or university teaching.
