Macy’s, Inc. is seeking qualified candidates for the Manager Merchant Development position in Learning & Development.
Driving merchant growth through development of innovative, engaging curriculum aligned to business priorities.
Establish strong rapport with merchant community. Build collaborative partnerships with stakeholders in assessing needs and developing solutions.
Work with New York and Field L & D teams to ensure transfer of learning of new curriculum. Develop education materials and conduct “train the trainer” sessions to ensure seamless execution. Attend pilot sessions to evaluate both content and execution, updating materials based on observations and feedback.
Bachelor Degree or equivalent work experience
Minimum 3-5 years previous Merchandising experience at the Buyer / Planner level or equivalent, with strong knowledge of merchandising processes

Exceptional communication skills (both written and oral)
Work with New York, Regional and District teams to ensure seamless execution of the new curriculum, including responsibilities of Train the Trainer
Focus on training effectiveness. Evaluate learner’s ability to meet objectives
Additional L & D experience a plus
Ability to travel 25%
