The Logistics and Engineering Solutions Business Unit/Supply Chain Integration Operation of SAIC is looking for a Field Support Representative in the Columbia/Sumter, South Carolina area.
JOB DESCRIPTION: The Field Support Representative will provide customer service to our current DOD/Federal customers that are ordering materials under existing contracts. Will also be responsible for developing other contract opportunities in the geographic area.
REQUIRED SKILLS/EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree, or 3 years outside sales experience. Ability to research customer account(s); identify potential candidate(s); qualify and close new and existing business opportunities to grow revenues within assigned geographic region for SAIC. Federal Government and industrial sales experience a plus. Must be able to work independently. To be successful in this position, must be self-motivated; goal-oriented; and organized. Proficiency in Microsoft office applications, i.e., Outlook, Power Point, Excel, and Word. The ability to effectively communicate through written communication (after on-boarding and training) the SCIO capabilities to potential customers and perform post meeting and/or presentation follow up.
Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal. Ideal candidate will be able and comfortable to cold call customers both telephonically and in person and explain the SCIO capabilities (after on-boarding and training), schedule formal meetings and present to a diverse audience potentially consisting of both worker level and executive.
Required travel 50 percent.
DESIRED SKILLS: Sales, logistics, distribution, manufacturing and/or computer training. Experience with DLA systems (Army, Navy, Air Force, Navy/Marines logistics and/or procurement system), prior work with varying levels of personnel and management within an account/account base, experience with Lotus Notes all a plus.
