Working with the Construction FEED team the Quality Manager develops EPC QA/QC plan and inspection philosophy as well as government inspection requirements. Provides guidance and management of quality issues on the project (Early Works and EPC). Implements the Quality Management System including planning and audits, provides quality training, utilizes quality tools for problem solving, and assessment and metrics tracking of quality data measurements. Develop quality plan for Gas Turbine EPC FEED option and associated governmental permitting and inspection requirements. Plans and coordinates project supplier surveillance program. Implements quality management programs and Customer Satisfaction effort on the project. Aligns the quality management functions with the performance needs of the project and client. Has budgetary responsibility for QA/QC department in the field.
This position will initially be based out of our Houston, Texas location. KBR is offering comprehensive assignment conditions for this position.
- Typically requires 10 – 15 years of experience in the Building Trades Construction industry with extensive experience in Electrical Craft.
- Strong Project Management and organizational skills.
- Good communication skills – both verbal and written are required.
- Knowledge of MS office including Word, Excel and outlook required.
- Experience with Primavera scheduling is an asset.
- Ability to coordinate multiple subcontractors and vendors on a construction site.
- Previous Cold Weather experience is required. Would be ideal if this were in Northern BC or Alberta.
