This position will be specifically located at the Robinson Nuclear Plant in Hartsville, SC.
This position leads the initiation and development Site Projects, Major Projects and Refueling Services implementation plans including analysis and evaluation of plans to ensure the conduct of safe and efficient project execution. Leads, Monitors, coordinates, schedules, and establishes priorities during the development and execution of Major and Site projects to support/ensure the efficient execution of the assigned projects.
Incumbent will be a member of the Nuclear Upgrades and Outage Services scheduling unit and will work closely with supervision, team members, and nuclear personnel to oversee the development of fully resource levelized and integrated project schedules. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills are required. Works independently on tasks and leads assigned schedulers per written guidelines and instructions with limited supervision. Identifies problems and possible solutions and takes appropriate action for resolution.
Lead the development, maintenance and distribution of effective computerized schedules for Site Projects, Major Projects and Refueling Services. Analyze these schedules to minimize duration and risk, while optimizing resources and critical equipment availability.
Provide Project Coordination/Planning for development or implementation of outage specific evolutions (e.g. Refueling, Turbine, Steam Generator, Electrical Busses, etc.) This includes technical understanding of the related issues and demonstrating the capability to communicate effectively orally and in writing about these projects.
Evaluate design change modifications to assist in implementation scope control and schedule development.
Create specialized reports using various database applications (ProjectView, PassPort Query Builder, Excel, Business Objects, etc.)
Ensure schedule development embodies consideration for Nuclear Safety Defense-in-Depth planning, plant equipment safety as well as personnel safety.
Identify, negotiate and recommend effective contingency plans to support achievement of project goals and milestones.
Review post project critiques and recommend corrective actions and improvements for future projects.
Support development of pre-outage schedules that coordinates planning and implementation activities for outage related projects.
Exhibit effective project management skills and demonstrates capability to perform Critical Path Method (CPM) Analysis.
Position requires a Bachelor's degree and 7+ years like-work experience. Four years of like-work experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree, or combination of education and like-work experience totaling 11+ years.
The selected candidate will be a highly motivated, independent worker who has the ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks, works well with others, and has a strong teamwork ethic. Support the Emergency Response Organization and be available for periodic call outs/overtime as required.
