The Monitor Tech performs various duties including but not limited to: Telemetry/Equipment Set-Up, EKG Interpretation, maintains documentation on telemetry patients, provides quality patient care. LPNs preferred.
Set up telemetry equipment for new admissions according to established procedures
Use knowledge of basic cardiac arrhythmia to interpret rhythm strips according to hospital policy
Maintain documentation on telemetry patients
Maintain correct flow of communication for quality patient care (i.e., troubleshooting, patient status, and quality issues)
High School graduate or equivalent required. LPN Preferred.
Prefer previous experience as a Monitor Technician, Paramedic or EMT (emergency medical technician.
State Nurses Aid certification required
