As a Failure Analysis Engineer, you will be working in a fast paced environment with driven and bright individuals who are very focused in accomplishing results efficiently. We are seeking skilled engineers with a strong emphasis on Material Science in support of Physical Failure Analysis. This will require a sufficient knowledge of failure modes and failure mechanism associated with electronic assemblies. In addition, the ideal candidate has demonstrated the ability to direct the appropriate analytical approach that will result in a clearly defined root cause. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
Note: Candidates must be authorized to work legally without requiring any visa sponsorship, and must be a Citizen or a Permanent Resident or Employment Authorization Document adjusting to Permanent Residency Status or an Approved TN Visa Holder (Canada and Mexico).
- Direct experience conducting Failure Analysis for electronic components, working with returns, reliability testing and yield improvement
- Hands-on experience in sample preparation techniques (cross-section, polishing, etc.) and the use of analytical tools such as SEM/EDX, FTIR, C-SAM, etc.
- Knowledge of computer and electronic systems is a must, with experience in printed circuit board (PCB) assembly process and techniques.
- BS/MS/PhD in Materials Science/Mechanical Engineering with 5-10 years of related experience in engineering and/or failure analysis functions
