Job Summary Responsible for reception-oriented duties, and providing guest with the highest quality of customer service.

Essential Job Functions

  • Primarily responsible for greeting guests and attending to their needs.
  • Checking guests in and arranging guest appointments.
  • Checking guests out and taking payment for services.
  • Assisting guests with retail and taking payment for retail products sold.
  • Assists the Salon Manager with maintaining quarterly inventory of salon retail products.
  • Answers phones and assists guests with questions.
  • Updates technicians on schedule changes.
  • Demonstrates respect, sensitivity, and concern for guests’ needs with a professional and pleasant manner.
  • Wears proper uniform and is neat and well groomed (in accordance with the Appearance Guidelines policy).
  • Attends departmental meetings as scheduled.
  • Maintains upkeep of all retail areas and equipment.
  • Maintains confidentiality.
  • Adheres to Canyon Ranch standards for guest service.
  • Adheres to Canyon Ranch cash handling policies and procedures.
  • Refers guest problems or complaints to supervisor according to Canyon Ranch guest problem resolution policy.
  • Assists as needed with all computer data entries.
  • Interacts cooperatively and with consideration toward guests and coworkers.
  • Exercises dependability and willingness to work a flexible schedule.
  • Submits Engineering/Housekeeping requests for retail and front desk areas to Salon Manager.
  • Reports and documents any observed or known safety hazards, conditions or unsafe practices and procedures to management immediately.
  • Performs other job-related duties as directed.


  • Education, Experience and Skill Requirements

  • Must have knowledge of RIO system.
  • Must have retail knowledge.
  • Must be flexible, with the ability to work some evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to interact positively with a variety of people.
  • Provides exceptional service to all clients.
  • Must possess a Clark County Health Card and TAM (Alcohol Awareness Card).
