This work unit exists within the Office of the Registrar to serve as both a “processing center” for all registration, grading and records for Main Campus courses and programs, and as an “information and customer service center” for students (customers), faculty, staff, colleagues, and community members.
This work unit exists to primarily provide enrollment services (registration, the frontline area, transcripts, graduation and diplomas, and records) to 30,000 students per semester (6,000 in the summer), including the registration of students, orientations presentations, specialized services to unique groups of registrants (concurrent, reciprocal exchange, Time Off Program ( TOP ), Stay Connected withdrawals, late registrants, etc.), computer entry of student related data, enrollment verification, distributing official/unofficial transcripts to current and former students of all campuses of University of Colorado, including transcripts to Boulder campus departments for advising, course availability information, and scheduling of registration batch programs on the Student Records System along with updating and maintaining student academic records and files with a high degree of accuracy while assuring compliance to the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 ( FERPA ) and the Buckley Amendment, and to produce accurate degree and diploma information for each commencement. Our secondary purpose is to provide administrative support to faculty and departments in the delivery of registration services, enrollment reports, and assistance with registration. In addition, this unit provides internal transcripts to Boulder campus departments for advising purpose and works closely with many administrative departments (Bursar, Financial Aid, Admissions, Wardenburg Health Center, etc.) to coordinate functions related to the registration process. This unit also exists to update, document and preserve student records; process data entry of Study Abroad students’ registration and course work; record approved certificate programs on ISIS for inclusion on transcripts; organize and disseminate written enrollment verifications; assist with data entry and mailing projects for Degrees and Diplomas; and post and remove “scholastic suspension” notices on students’ transcripts. This area also assists faculty, departments, and colleges with online web grading.

Posting Description
This position exists to provide enrollment services for all credit programs which include but are not limited to: Arts and Sciences, Engineering, Music, Business, Environmental Design, Law, Journalism, and the Graduate School. Staff in this position must be intimately familiar with all of the colleges’ programs, policies, and procedures, deadlines and dates, as well as with academic policies and procedures across the campus and for each college. This position also serves to support the ISIS Development Team and Senior Associate Director.

This position assists students, faculty, staff, and the public via telephone, fax, direct contact, mail, email and online instant messaging with registration and records procedures. Example tasks include: entering and deleting student-record data upon receipt of proper documents; processing Study Abroad student registration and course work; recording approved certificate programs on the Student Records System for inclusion on transcripts; organizing and disseminating written enrollment verifications; assisting with data entry and mailing projects for degrees and diplomas; posting and removing scholastic-suspension notices on student transcripts; accepting internal unofficial or official transcript requests; assembling completed transcripts and delivering them according to student or internal department instructions or by referring questions to the appropriate person or office; working with internal departments on scheduling end-of-semester holds for grades or degrees for internal and official transcript requests (eg., Honors, Engineering and Applied Science, School of Education, ROTC , SMART Program, and Evans Scholars); updating, documenting and preserving student records; assisting faculty, departments, and colleges with online web grading.

Salary and Benefits:
Pay Grade T07
$2688.00 per month.

Minimum Qualifications
Must be a current Colorado resident in order to apply.

- Two years of work experience with databases, computer systems, processing time sensitive and confidential materials, and customer service.

- Ability to adapt to 3rd party secure platforms to fulfill data requests and error resolution

Desired Qualifications

- Two years of college, university or non-correspondence school course work
- Working knowledge of excel, MS Word, Access and Powerpoint
- Experience working in a call center, handling customer orders over the phone
- Experience with ISIS
- Experience in a university Registrar’s Office, or a university student services office (Financial Aid, Admissions, or Bursar)
