Job Type: Full Time Position Summary:
The IT Project Advisor is responsible for planning, estimating, providing day-to-day management, leadership, direction and administration across the full project lifecycle (planning through implementation) on small to medium sized projects and/or multiple BSRs (Business Support Requests). The incumbent participates in the planning, directing and coordinating of activities pertaining to projects. This includes working collaboratively to ensure that project goals are accomplished and in line with business objectives, and managing the team that develops and executes projects for assigned business unit(s). Required Qualifications:
Planning and estimating skills for time and cost across all phases of the project lifecycle Competency in using all processes and tools required to perform required duties and tasks Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work with multiple teams, delegating workload and ensuring team efficiency Must be able to identify, assess and resolve business problems/issue/risks and facilitate issue resolution and risk mitigation independently Ability to work with the technical resources, understand their needs and coordinate their efforts to deliver the final project solution Proven ability to function as a leader throughout the project lifecycle Understanding of software development methodologies such as RUP, Waterfall, SEP, etc. Demonstrated capabilities with stakeholder management and control. 9+ Years Applicable experience. Possesses solid knowledge and 5+ years of project management experience demonstrated by a proven track record of success in various types of projects Five or more years of professional, related experience (consulting, software development, client management, team management) Project management experience in infrastructure, software development and business planning across the full project lifecycle (planning, requirements definition, design, build, and deployment). Preferred Qualifications:
Project Management Certification (PMP) is preferred Applied, proven knowledge of Software Engineering Institute (SEI), Software Quality Assurance (SQA), Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) disciplines, ITIL standards and principles preferable. Demonstrates strong skills in team leadership and conflict management Displays consistent flexibility, resilience, and resourcefulness Demonstrates courage and self-confidence in dealing with project issues and in broadly communicating project information across the organization Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work with multiple teams, delegating work load and ensuring team efficiency Education:
Bachelor’s Degree required. Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering or related discipline with information technology focus is preferred. Business Overview:
