Fox News is looking for an experienced Linux Systems Administrator to join its Digital Newsroom team. We support Fox News’ content management (CM) and related systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for day to day maintenance and smooth operation of our 100+ servers. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for maintenance/administration on our SAN, Database (IBM DB2), LTO Tape Archive (IBM Tivoli) and various broadcast-specific systems. Prior experience with any of these or any programming/scripting languages is a plus.

We work in a fast-paced environment and are constantly looking for creative, automated solutions to problems and innovative ways of bringing our technology to more and more users. The ideal candidate must be excited about technology and willing to learn about new open- (and closed-) source systems.

The candidate must have relevant Linux experience (Red Hat/Cent OS/Fedora preferred).

Windows Server 2003/2008 experience.
Knowledge of AIX.
Knowledge of MAC OS X.
DB2 Database administration or support experience.
Storage Area Network (SAN) w/ Fiber Channel systems administration or support experience.
