The role of a Food Service Coordinator at Intermountain Healthcare is to ensure the food production, and preparation is delivered in a professional and safe manner. The Food Service Coordinator will coordinate efforts between the food service staff to ensure food is delivered safely and timely. All food service associates can truly make a difference by giving friendly, caring, courteous and professional service to every customer. A food service worker helps ensure our healing commitments are met by their excellence and dedication. This position is located at LDS Hospital working at the Grove Cafe'. Incumbent will be taking care of customers, making Panini’s and espresso drinks, ordering food items, working with vendors and serving as a backup supervisor.
Participates in orienting, training, scheduling, and leading employees as appropriate.
Coordinates and maintains workflow of assigned area.
Ensures a quality food service operation, including production and customer service.
Orders food and supplies. Maintains an appropriate inventory.
Ensures that department standards for quality, sanitation, and safety are met.
Completes required reports and documentation.
Coordinates resources (supplies, man hours).
Participates in quality monitoring activities.
Entry Rate: 10.70

Shift Details: Full time 40 hours per week
Department: Alternating weekends required. Hours will vary.
Two or more years food service experience
Read, write, and communicate effectively
Food Handlers Permit as required by county
Customer service experience
Carrying, Climbing, Hearing/Listening, Lifting, Manual Dexterity, Pushing/Pulling, Seeing, Speaking, Squatting/Kneeling, Standing, Walking
One or more year of supervisory experience
