Managers and Assistant Managers:

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintains fiscal performance.
Enforces compliance with procedures included in the Retail Store Operations Manual.
Manages Retail Store workforce.
Ensures control and protection of Retail Store inventories
Apprises District Manager and the other Manager of all store activities on a regular basis.
Maintains and presents a positive, enthusiastic attitude toward job and company.
Creates and maintains an organized and efficient management office/work space.
Prepares, presents and displays visual merchandising and in-store marketing programs, as directed by Merchandiser.
Completes all store payroll procedures on a timely basis prior to Monday store openings. Each Monday of pay week, completes the shift report,accounting for all employee hours worked in the store during the pay period. Includes all hours worked in other stores if the employee also worked in other locations during the pay period. (Locations other than their home store)
Maintains all store fixtures and equipment in proper working order. Maintains store cleanliness at all times.
Conducts monthly employee meetings for the purpose of communicating merchandise,marketing, housekeeping and all other corporate initiatives.
Promotes and develops good community relations by looking for and being involved in community activities and projects.
Qualifications/Skills & Knowledge Requirements:
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a management or supervisory capacity.
Work requires a solid knowledge of the retail business and an understanding of the needs of the urban customer.
An excellent command of the English language to effectively communicate with other employees, management and customers. Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus.
Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications.
Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.
Analytical ability is required in order to gather and summarize data for reports, find solutions to various administrative problems, and prioritize work.
